Radon
How Does Radon Get Into Your Home?
Any home may have a radon problem, radon is a radioactive gas. It comes from the natural decay of uranium that is found in nearly all soil. It typically moves up through the ground to the air above and into your home through cracks and other holes in the foundation. Your home traps radon gas inside, where it can build up. This means new and old homes, well sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or without basements can have radon. Nearly one out of every 5 homes in the US a is estimated to have elevated radon levels if you have further questions you can contact the radon office in your area. The only way to know about radon levels is to have your home tested.
